Summer Watch Repair in NYC

  July 23, 2011. Summertime is vacation time, and I was lucky enough to just visit Guyana.  Unlike New York City, Guyana is not exactly the capital of luxury watches.  We did see a few watch repair guys literally selling their stuff on the street.  But, watches are everywhere - not just in New York City.  But now we are back from vacation, and back in New York, working with our customers repairing the best watch brands such as TAG Heuer, Citizen, Rolex and others.

Watch by Any Other Name

A "watch" can go by many names. The watch itself could be called a timepiece, a wristwatch, a pocket watch, a chronograph, a stopwatch, or even a co-axial watch. It might be an automatic, a mechanical, or a manual wind.

Luxury watch brands are also prolific. Among brands we repair are Tag Heuer, Breitling, Longines, Hamilton, Omega, Rado, Rolex, Citizen, Tissot, Jaeger LeCoultre, and more.

The AWCI (American Watchmakers-Clockmakers Institute) recommends that a mechanical watch should have a complete overhaul every 4 to 5 years. If your watch is running more than 2-3 minutes fast or slow a day it
