IWC Watch Repair

Welcome to Ron Gordon Watch Repair. My workshop is conveniently located in Midtown New York City.  My shop is  equipped with modern state of the art machinery to handle all phases of watch repair,  water resistant testing and case and bracelet refinishing. I have over 30 years of experience and  knowledge  with the  tools to do the job right. All work is done in house.
 
 

IWC Watch Repair and Service In 1868, the American engineer and watchmaker, Florentine Ariosto Jones was director of F.Howard & Cie. In Boston, the America leading watchmaking company. He travelled across the Atlantic to Switzerland, where his plan was to found the International Watch Company with the aim to manufacture movements and watch parts for the American market. However he had failed to take into account that the workers in the Geneva region and the remote valleys of the Jura Mountains feared for their jobs and were against Jones’ intrusion. It was probably around this point that Jones met watch manufacturer and industrialist Johann Heinrich Moser who manufactured pocket watches for the Russian tsars. Moser was an industrial pioneer and had recently finished building a hydro station in Schaffhausen powered by water from the Rhine. Moser showed a great interest in Jones’ plans and so the foundations were set for the first and only watch manufacturers in north-eastern Switzerland: the IWC INTERNATIONAL WATCH CO. in Schaffhausen. IWC is a precision timepiece and it needs regular interval servicing for it to work precisely. IWC recommends complete repairs be done every 4-5 years. The 2 recommended repairs are -

The 2 recommended repairs are - Partial Maintenance (whenever the battery is changed) Replacement of gaskets using genuine IWC parts Restore the water resistance to IWC manufacturer standards Clean the case and bracelet ultrasonically Final inspection, visual and technical Complete Overhaul and reseal (every 4-5 years) The movement is completely taken apart, then any worn or broken parts are replaced with genuine IWC replacements. The watch is reassembled, oiled and regulated to IWC factory requirements All the gaskets are replaced and the water resistance is restored to IWC manufacturer standards.
