Tissot Watch Repair and Service
In 1853, Charles-Félicien Tissot and his son Charles-Emile Tissot created the Tissot watch company. Their driving force for the company was innovative spirit and a distinctive taste for skilled craftsmanship. Since then, the Tissot watch company has located its headquarters in Le Locle. Throughout its history, Tissot watches created products that never fail to attract attention, both by watch aficionados and the general public pioneers of their kind. The most recent example being the T Touch watch. In 1985, Tissot watches became a member of the Swatch Group.
Repairing your Tissot Watch
Tissot watches are precision timepieces and they need to regular interval servicing for it to perform accurately. Tissot recommends complete repairs be done every 3-5 years and partial maintenance whenever the battery is changed. Here is a brief description of watch repair work to be done.
Partial Maintenance (when the battery is changed)
- Replacement of gaskets using genuine Tissot parts
- Restore the water resistance to Tissot manufacturer requirement
- Clean case and bracelet ultrasonically
- Final examination, visual and technical
Complete Overhaul and reseal (every 3-5 years)
- The movement is completely taken apart, then any worn or broken parts are replaced with genuine Tissot replacements.
- Then the watch is reassembled, oiled and regulated to Tissot factory condition
- Then all the gaskets are replaced and the water resistance is restored to Tissot manufacturer requirements.
- The case and bracelet are refinished to original condition
- Final examination and 72 hours test
